Management Style Overview

Hamburg Equity has assembled team of executives to assist in its growth. We have established governing views to ensure that the collective knowledge of our group is used to make command decisions. We run team focus sessions to keep everyone abreast of developments, and a support team to determine which investment properties or oil and gas wells to invest the Company funds.

Everyone on the team has to buy into any core decision, and therefore the entire management team shares in the accountability for all decisions made.

Executive Team

Robert Hamburg, Chief Executive Officer & President

Robert Hamburg has over 30 years of executive experience in business, with emphasis in energy and real estate. As a Vice President of United California Securities Inc. an NASD Broker Dealer he assisted in $200 million of real estate partnership investments. As Vice President and Project Manager of a small independent energy and technology company in Denver Exploration Technologies Inc. he worked with the technical and production staff on various onshore and off shore projects. Mr. Hamburg was instrumental in the funding and development of Oceanfront Development a developer of a high end resort in Encinitas California. Mr. Hamburg currently holds a license with the California Department of Real Estate.

J. Luke Westerman , Managing Director

J. Luke Westerman has nearly a decade of experience in the investment advisory industry. He has served as Vice President for 5 years working with some of the largest financial institutions in the world. He has personally managed over $130 Million in assets through the provision and implementation of sophisticated wealth management strategies. He specializes in alternative investments, specifically private equity; energy, telecommunication, and real estate. He currently serves as a Senior Partner in an Investment Consulting Firm.

Mr. Westerman is a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a degree in Marketing and Finance.  He also holds Series 7 and Series 66 Investment Licenses.

Ronald J. Ritchey, Managing Director

Mr. Ritchey brings twelve years of experience in the financial Services industry to Hamburg Equity. He is the youngest person to ever hold the title of Vice President at Nationwide Financial Services in Columbus Ohio, and he most recently held that same position with an international real estate investment trust. He has played an integral part in raising over $500 million dollars for various investment projects including private equity funds, real estate purchases and development and energy drilling projects.

Mr. Ritchey is a graduate of Otterbein College, earning a degree in finance and currently serves on the board of directors of US Energy Development Corp in Pa.

Michael A. Chapin, Managing Director

Michael A. Chapin has over ten years of experience in working with public agencies throughout California with all aspects of special assessment districts and municipal finance related services.  His public finance experience includes working with the companies such as NBS /Government Finance Group and MBIA, where he specialized in municipal debt administration and formation, administering over $1 Billion in municipal tax-exempt debt.  Mr. Chapin is also a partner of Urban Link Development, an affordable housing development company that specializes in both developing manufactured and modular home communities.

Mr. Chapin received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree, and Professional Certificate in Accounting from the University of California, San Diego.

M. Joe Staggs, Managing Director

Joe Staggs has over ten years of experience working in the financial services industry.  He began his career as a financial advisor implementing investment strategies for  individuals and businesses to build, preserve, and distribute their wealth, all in the most tax-efficient manner possible.  More recently Mr. Staggs has spent his time working in the alternative investment market focusing on energy, private equity, and real estate. He is currently President of an investment firm that specializes in gathering assets for implementation into these areas.

Mr. Staggs has a degree in Economics and Political Science from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.

David Blair, Director of Corporate Communications

David Blair has been actively involved in the Public Relations and Media industry since the early 1990's. He has been actively providing new media services for such companies as AT&T Wireless, Johnson & Johnson, and Fox Television as well as many corporate start-ups in Panama and Costa Rica. Mr. Blair oversees all aspects of Internet marketing and corporate communications and is responsible for overseeing the production of rich content new media and press relations for Hamburg Equities' varied interests worldwide.
